Don’t miss the London premiere of the six-time Tony-winning musical THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA as it lights up the Royal Festival Hall for four weeks only next summer. Directed by multiple Olivier Award winner Daniel Evans, this lavish new production stars Opera superstar and Tony Award nominee RENÉE FLEMING and Disney film and television superstar DOVE CAMERON making their West End debuts.

Florence. Summer 1953. As American Margaret Johnson and her daughter Clara take in the city’s wonders, a fateful gust of wind whisks Clara’s hat into the hands of local dreamer Fabrizio Naccarelli… and it’s amore at first sight. But Clara isn’t quite what she appears, and soon they must all confront a secret that’s been kept in the shadows for far too long.

London Theatre Review: The Light in the Piazza at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall

On the face of it, The Light in the Piazza playing at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre is a glossy Hollywood-style 1950s musical rom-com. It ticks all the boxes; a great set, gorgeously stylish costumes and shiny happy people. Even the lighting reflects the hyper-real light that exists in the Mediterranean, which makes colours pop and everyone and everything look and feel spectacular.
