We'll tell you as soon as tickets go on sale:
William Forsythe is one of the world’s most influential choreographers. His early work is acknowledged for reorienting the practice of ballet from its identification with the classical repertoire to a dynamic 21st century art form. His more recent works have extended his research on the potential of dance as a performance style and choreography as a means of creating structure.
I don’t believe in outer space is, as the title suggests, a very personal piece that looks at the nature of our existence through Forsythe’s eyes, both comic and tragic in places. Featuring 14 dancers and a soundtrack by Thom Willems, the work's movements reflect the world's fragility, power, and mortality at the same time.
- "Forsythe's company are scarily accomplished, and the work feels like a giant scanner picking up fragments of human interaction"
