The Laurence Olivier Awards are presented annually by The Society of London Theatre (was The Society of West End Theatres).
Nominations are generally announced on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday in January with the winners announced on the 3rd or 4th Friday in February (NOTE, in a change to previous years, the winners for have been announced on either the 3rd or 4th Sunday in February). |

| Evening Standard Awards |

The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards are presented annually by the London Evening Standard Newspaper.
They are normally announced on the last Monday in November. In 2001, for the first time, a 'short list' of nominations where announced on the Tuesday three weeks prior to the Awards presentation.
The Awards are normally presented at a special lunch at the Savoy Theatre (by special invite only). (NOTE: In a change from previous years, the 2004 Awards will be announced on the second Monday in December at a presentation held at The NT Olivier Theatre).
The highlights of the presentation are normally broadcast on UK television shortly afterwards. |

| Critics' Circle Awards |

The Critics' Circle Awards (were Drama Theatre Awards up to 1990) are presented by the Theatre critics from the National and London newspapers and magazines.
They are generally announced in early February. The presention (which is by invite only) has taken place in a variety of venues around the West End, including a boat on the Thames! |
