The new Museum combines state-of-the-art interactive touch screens with its unparalleled collection of traditional and contemporary tennis memorabilia in order to explore the story of the game and the Wimbledon Championships, from past to present, in a vibrant and entertaining way. The new Museum will appeal to tennis, Wimbledon, sports and entertainment fans of all ages from around the world

What there is to see in the Museum


See John McEnroe 'live' in a recreation of the 1980s Gentleman's Dressing Room as he relates stories conveying the drama and emotion of the Wimbledon Championships.

Experience what it's like to play on Centre Court in the amazing 200 degree 3-D cinema featuring a film on The Science of Tennis (Filmed during the 2005 Championships)

Watching exclusive television interviews with the legends of the game and many past and present champions.

Pitting their powers of speed, stamina and coordination in the Reaction Zone with the aim is to turn off as many illuminated tennis balls as possible in 30 seconds

Using interactive touch screens bringing to life the Museum's extensive archive

News, results and highlights from all the current tournaments on the men's and women's tours

Tennis fashion - from long white skirts and flannel trousers through frilly knickers and Ted Tinling's dresses to the contemporary style of Serena and Venus Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova.

The experience is complemented by a superb audio guide, which is offered as part of the entry price and is available in eight languages - English, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian, French, German and Italian.

There are also special audio tours for the partially sighted and, for use by the hard of hearing, handheld sets which give interpretation in UK sign language.

Open: daily: 10.30am-5.00pm.
Closed: 1st and 9th July, 24th-26th December 2007
and 1st January 2008

Only tournament ticket holders have access to the museum during
The Championships (25th June - 8th July 2007 inclusive)
and no audio tours are available at that time.

Tour Times vary and should be checked at time of booking.

Tours will not run from 18th June until 13th July 2007 due to The Championships.
