Only Fools And Horses - The Musical
  Performance Date:     Seat Amount:
Mais ouis, mais ouis, the world may have changed a lot since we first bid a jovial 'au revoir' to the Trotters of Peckham, but good 'ol Del Boy, Rodney and the rest of the gang haven't changed a bit... well, apart from the odd spontaneous bursting into song here, and the occasional dancing across the market, there.

The landmark, record-breaking and top-rated television series Only Fools and Horses, written by the late, great John Sullivan, undoubtedly holds a special place in the hearts of the British public. Now John's son Jim Sullivan has teamed up with comedy giant Paul Whitehouse to write and produce a script and score to honour his father's legacy; recreating the iconic series into a brand-new, home-grown British Musical spectacular. Lovely Jubbly!

Whitehouse also takes centre stage as Grandad, uniting with Tom Bennett (Del Boy) and Ryan Hutton (Rodney) in this unique showstopper. Featuring cherished material from the TV series, the laughs, dodgy dealings and unforgettable moments to boot, join us as we take a trip back to 1989, get reacquainted with Britain's most loveable rogues and experience the classic comedy brought to life once again through an ingenious and hilarious original score; an idea so inexplicably pukka it surely proves the old adage that he who dares wins!

With musical contributions from Chas n Dave, the beloved theme tunes as you've never heard them before and an array of comic songs full of character and cockney charm, you're guaranteed to have a right knees-up! Only Fools and Horses the Musical is a feel-good, family celebration of traditional, working class London life and the aspirations we all share.

PAUL WHITEHOUSE AND JIM SULLIVAN BRING ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES MUSICAL TO THE WEST END (16 OCTOBER 2018)

Only Fools & Horses will return as a West End musical, previewing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 9 February 2019 (press night is 19 February), with book, lyrics and score co-written by Paul Whitehouse and Jim Sullivan, son of the record-breaking television series creator, the late John Sullivan (additional music by John Sullivan and Chas Hodges).

Paul Whitehouse also takes centre stage as Grandad, uniting with Tom Bennett (Del Boy) and Ryan Hutton (Rodney) in this unique showstopper, featuring cherished material from the TV series.

Directed by Caroline Jay Ranger, the show will feature musical contributions from Chas n Dave, the beloved theme tunes as the audience has never heard them before, and many of the loveable characters from the TV series: Raquel, Denzil, Mickey Pearce, Mike the Barman and the dreaded Driscoll Brothers.

Paul Whitehouse said: "This was the last project that John Sullivan was working on when he died - he was just starting to develop Only Fools as a musical - so when writing it, Jim and I have remained very faithful to the feel and scripts of the TV series, but also highlight some contemporary issues.
"We're very conscious of the Only Fools legacy and that it's so fondly remembered by people of almost all ages, so we've tried to incorporate everyone's favourite moments from the TV shows and of course, all the great characters - but this time it's with songs."

Paul Whitehouse is an actor, performer and writer who has been involved in many of the best-loved comedy shows over the last 25 years, winning five BAFTA's and being awarded the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award at the 2013 British Comedy Awards. In 1982 Whitehouse established a writing partnership with Charlie Higson and Harry Enfield that culminated in The Harry Enfield Television Programme in 1990. In 1994 he co-created The Fast Show with Higson, a six-part sketch series for BBC TV which he co-wrote, produced and starred in. Harry & Paul was first broadcast on BBC1 in 2007 with the second series going on to win a BAFTA in 2009. In 2015 Enfield and Whitehouse celebrated 25 years at the BBC with An Evening with Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse being shown on BBC2. Most recently Whitehouse has appeared in Death of Stalin and David Copperfield, both directed by Armando Iannucci. In 2018, along with good friend Bob Mortimer, Whitehouse has starred in Mortimer and Whitehouse- Gone Fishing - a run of six half-hour episodes for BBC2.

Tom Bennett trained at the Guildford School of Acting and since graduating in 2004 has built up an extensive list of TV, film and theatre credits including E4's cult comedy series PHONESHOP, NBC's A.P.
