The Band features the music of Take That, Britain's most successful boyband of all time, whose songs include Never Forget. Back for Good, A Million Love Songs, Greatest Day. The Flood, Relight My Fire, Shine and Rule the World.

TAKE THAT MUSICAL THE BAND SET FOR 50-SHOW WEST END RUN; TICKETS NOW ON SALE (22 MARCH 2018)

Tim Firth's musical The Band, co-produced by Take That, will transfer to Theatre Royal Haymarket from this December, playing a total of fifty performances up until 12 January 2019.

Gary Barlow promised Take That will put in an appearance or two during the run, as the group joined the cast of the musical on the roof of the venue on Monday to launch the West End run, and to treat the crowd below to renditions of Hold Up The Light, Never Forget and Shine.

The musical had its world premiere at Manchester Opera House in September. It stars Rachel Lumberg as Rachel, Alison Fitzjohn as Claire, Emily Joyce as Heather, Jayne McKenna as Zoe, AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Sario Solomon, collectively known as Five To Five, as The Band, Faye Christall as Young Rachel, Katy Clayton as Young Heather, Rachelle Diedericks as Debbie, Sarah Kate Howarth as Young Claire, Lauren Jacobs as Young Zoe, Martin Miller as Jeff and Andy Williams as Dave.

The story follows five 16-year-old fans in 1992, for whom 'the band' is everything. They reunite twenty-five years later, now 40-something women, as they try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting their heroes, played the winners of the BBC talent show Let It Shine, Five To Five.
